Cloud describes what different researchers classify as "Genius" and how it comes to be. Some believe that it relies on genetics while others believe that with continued practice, one becomes a genius. In the end he concludes that Geniuses are not given the opportunity to grow as they are often held back with their classmates by school officials. I believe that genius is created by experience, drive, and passion. A true genius knows what they want and will do whatever it takes to be the best at it.
Mr. Cowen showed how much work he put into his 3-D printer. Why? Because technology is what he is passionate about. Much like the passion I have for cars. He spends countless hours and lots of money working on his 3-D printer. It is not really about how much time or money you spend on it it matters how it make you feel. If it makes you happy when you finish it and you feel accomplished you've done it right. It's the passion of building something not buying it.

We have always had a passion for cars. This allowed us to teach rather than be taught. This project shows our initiative to express the love of our culture. We are a very select group of people and the love of cars can't really be taught, it has to be felt. It's a bond only car people know. In this article from CNN we learn from younger kids that it is okay to fail, but you have to learn from it. We would apply this to our Genius Hour project if the videos don’t come in we could talk to local enthusiasts in our town about their cars. No matter what we have to learn from our failures. This is what the CNN article is trying to teach us.
Before the snow flies we would like to get videos from local and other car enthusiasts about why they love cars and how it has changed their life. we will also encourage them to talk about the people they have met through the car community. We will incorporate these videos into the website so you, the viewers, will know whats going on in the car world. Weather permitting, we can organize a cruise where we could get more footage. Not much can be don during the winter as car people tend to store their cars in the winter, however, video submissions will still be taken.
